Foments started after a wedding. From the experience of seeing how many great photos and videos end up scattered across WhatsApp chats, AirDrops and private galleries afterwards – when it's often the unplanned shots from guests that mean the most. Foments brings them together in one place.
After the event
An event is over quickly – the memories stay. They just rarely stay in one place:
Photos get spread across several WhatsApp groups.
Videos get compressed or lost in the chat history.
Some guests never send their footage at all.
The host has to chase people down one by one.
A few weeks later, nobody remembers who took which photos.
Foments turns many phones into one shared memory album.
What makes Foments different
Foments should feel right – for guests, for hosts and for the memories they create together.
Guests share their memories without installing an app or creating an account first. Scan the QR code, upload, done.
Private photos aren't stored longer than necessary. Clear timelines, data processing in the EU and transparent rules – no fine print.
An event isn't a permanent SaaS tool. You only pay when you actually need Foments for an event – not month after month.
Who's behind it
I'm Robin, a developer from Vienna and the founder of Foments.
The idea came about after I saw, as a best man at a wedding, how many special photos and videos were scattered across WhatsApp, AirDrop and private galleries once the event was over.
I wanted to build something that doesn't feel like extra work for guests: scan a QR code, upload photos, done. No app, no complicated explanation, no unnecessary effort.
I develop Foments independently and with one clear standard: collecting event memories should be simple, without privacy, design or usability suffering for it.
Built with care
Foments is continuously being developed. Feedback from real hosts flows straight into the product – from moderation and upload limits to slideshows, downloads and better event pages.
What you can rely on
No big promises – just what Foments actually delivers.
An independent product from one founder, not an anonymous corporation.
Your event data is processed on EU servers.
Guests upload straight from the browser – no download, no account.
Made for weddings, birthdays, company events and private parties.
Transparent retention and deletion periods per event, instead of endless data piles.
Questions go straight to the person who builds Foments.
